BECOME A MEMBER
Who may join?
Membership is open to anybody over the age of 50 with an interest
in the outdoors wishing to participate actively in the Club's year-round activities.

When can I join?
Newcomers are eligible to join the Club after completing three outings as a guest in one or more of the Club’s activities: Hiking,
X-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, City Walks and Golf. Take a
look at these activities and decide which activity(ies) most interests you. Those who wish to hike, X-country ski or snowshoe should also consult Outings Registration and Pickup & Parking.
What does membership cost?
The membership year is September 1st – August 31st
- Annual membership fee $25
- Prorated membership fee of $12.50 for those joining on or after May 1st.
Privileges and Expectations of Members
Members can participate in any of the club’s activities.
Members are required to participate in twelve outings in any of the Club’s activities each membership year. Exemptions are granted in exceptional circumstances such as health problems.
Volunteers play a critical role in the ongoing operation of the Club. Members are encouraged to volunteer for opportunities such as serving on the Board, assisting with outings, developing the outings schedule and organizing and helping out at Social Events.
How to join
Prospective members are requested to read the Club’s By-Laws and Operating Policies prior to joining the Club.
Prospective members and guests are required to complete a Waiver Form that will be supplied on the first outing.
When you have completed your three outings, download and print the Membership Application Form. Mail the completed form together with a cheque for the appropriate membership fee made payable to The Second Sixties Outdoor Club to the address given on the form.
